The little group became part of the Eagle House Group in September 2006 but has an established reputation of some15 years as a national leader in the field of pre school provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Complex Communication Disorders. The little group is a specialist registered nursery based in Epsom in Surrey which admits children aged 2-5+ with difficulties in -

• Social interaction
• Communication
• Poor imaginative play and rigid thinking

The children may also have secondary problems such as poor attention, challenging behaviour and high anxiety levels. The nursery provides services to up to 70 children over the period of a school year

The little group method is focused on engaging and motivating children through fun activities that are meaningful to them.
Children with social communication difficulties are often difficult to reach through traditional methods of teaching. Children at the little group learn the skills to engage and learn in a happy and relaxed environment. This is achieved by fully integrating the disciplines of speech and language therapy and teaching into one very unique and innovative communication based curriculum.

The Little Group believes that learning is not just the acquisition of discrete skills, but rather that true learning affects the way in which the child thinks and understands the world.
